Horse training and Instruction

Whatever you plan to pursue with your equine partner, having a confident, willing, and responsive horse creates a foundation for success.

This process starts from the ground up. I believe that groundwork is an essential part of horse training in order to gain a horse's respect and help them learn to use the thinking side of their brain.

Once in the saddle, I strive to teach a horse to be a willing partner whether they are in the arena or on the trail.

Throughout the training process I encourage the owner's involvement in order to ensure that the partnership with their horse can grow and flourish.

Another part of the training program involves hauling horses to different locations and events in order to expose them to a variety of scenarios.

Training Options

I like to start with an assessment session to get to know you and your horse as well as both of your levels of training.

In this initial training session my goal is to learn how your responds to pressure both on the ground and undersaddle.

I also take this time to see how you work with your horse and how to best incorporate you into training.

I can then determine a training plan that will best help you and your horse reach your goals.

Private training sessions

Whether your horse is being started for the first time, needing a refresher, or working through specific issues, private training sessions are the perfect option to receive individualized training

These sessions are generally an hour and include me working you and/ or you horse on the ground and undersaddle to work toward your goals.

I am happy to conduct these sessions solo or with the owner present.

Group riding

Whether we meet at at your home, boarding facility, or equestrian park, group sessions are a great way to bring down the cost of your training as well as have the opportunity to learn in a group environment.
